Will someone be available to help during the tournament?

For an additional fee, we can provide a dedicated staff member to support your tournament. This person can collect scores, update the schedule, organize teams, provide and maintain equipment, make announcements, change over courts if you want to run multiple games and anything else you need! This person can take all the pressure off you, and allow you to fully enjoy your event!

The minimum number of teams we recommend for a 3 court, 4 hour tournament is 10-12 teams. The maximum number of teams the facility can comfortably accommodate is 24!

We have a 24x48 inch rolling white board in the facility which you can attach your schedule to. We also have a monitor at the front desk that you can connect to using an HDMI cable.

Leagues & Registration

Registration & Teams

I'm not sure which league to register for—can you help?

Absolutely! Picking a league and division can be tough. Check out this chart and if you have any questions or want some more help, send us an email and we can help get you sorted.

How do I sign a team up for leagues?

Registration can be done all online. Registration for future leagues usually open 6-8 weeks in advance.

Can I register as an individual or with just one or two friends?

Yes! For all our leagues, we can register both teams or individuals (indys). When you register as an individual, you can add a request to be with your friend, and you will receive a link to send to that friend! If your friend registers through the link you will be automatically connected! If you have enough friends to make a team, please register as a team. We cannot guarantee that we will keep large groups of friends together.

How many players can I have on a team?

For our 4s leagues we have a maximum roster of 5 people. For our 6s league, we have a maximum roster of 7 people. We understand life gets busy or you and your team work shift work. If you would like extra roster spots, please send us an email!

What does “coed” mean, and how many players of each gender are required?

Coed refers to both genders playing on the court at the same time. To meet coed minimums, there must always be 2 non majority gender players on the court at all times.

My company is covering 50% of the registration cost. How do I make this happen?

We love companies that support physical activities and sport! Please reach out to info@beachhangar.ca to get the process started.

Leagues & Pricing

Why do league prices vary?

Our league prices are broken down per week. Some leagues may be an extra week or two shorter than others due holidays, making the prices slightly different.

When will I receive the schedule for my league?

Once registration closes, it will take our team a day or two to complete your schedules. We do our best to get schedules for the entire season out 5-7 days before the first day of play!

How old do you have to be to join a league?

Our adult leagues are all ages 18+. Our youth leagues are for ages 10-15.

What’s the difference between leagues and drop-in play?

League play is structured, where you are on the same team each week, where games are scored, recorded and there are playoffs. Drop-in is unstructured, where there may be different players each week! Drop-in is great for those looking to get some fun game play, meet new people and have fun! Leagues are better for those looking for structure, have fun and compete a little (or a lot depending on the league).

Drop-In Play

How does drop-in work?

You must register for drop-in each week. When you arrive, show the front desk staff your confirmation email and then you are good to go! Each session there will be a white board listing what games are being played on each court. Sign up HERE.

Can I register for drop-in in person?

Yes, however we recommend registering online to secure your spot. Our drop-in sessions do sell out, and we cannot always accept walk-ins.

I want to play competitively at drop-in. Are there different skill levels?

Yes! Each night for drop in will offer different skill levels.

Programs & Rules

Do you offer a “learn to play” program?

Yes we do! If you have never played beach volleyball before, played a LONG time ago or are just looking for a brush up on how to play we have a Rookies League, and offer various clinics/lessons throughout the year! Sign up HERE.

What are the house rules for play?

All our house rules can be found online HERE. We have rules for 4s, 6s and 2s!
